Remarkable |
Cocoon Game β Multiple platforms I've nearly finished this puzzle platform game on the Switch and itβs an absolute masterpiece.
Wildly imaginative, beautiful and somehow, without using any words at all, gives you just enough cues to intuit what you need to do. And all this without it ever feeling arduous as games like this can.
Wow. It leaves the interaction design bit of my brain absolutely buzzing. Creator, Jeppe Carlsen is clearly some kind of genius. π cocoongame.com
Pavlovpulus Pen plotter art This is the work of Santiago-based artist, Pablo AzoΜcar who shares his phenomenal pen plotter art on Instagram.
An intriciate blend of digital algorithm and robot-controlled pens and pencils results in some really beautiful pieces. Watching them being made brings another level of joy, so good. π instagram.com
Subpar Pool Game β Multiple platforms Described by it's creator Martin Jonasson as "a whimsical adventure of playful pocket antics at the intersection of golf and pool", Subpar Pool looks like a lot of fun.
Beautiful, playful, physics based gaming that's been getting some great reviews. I'm planning to play on the Switch. π subparpool.com
NYT Games Web and mobile games No matter what games I delve into, the staple that I always come back to is well designed word games. And the New York Times has a great little selection that doesn't disappoint.
From the infamous Wordle, to Connections, Spelling Bee and Letter Boxed, these games are my daily go-tos every morning with breakfast. Heartily recommended. π nytimes.com

How We Feel iOS Wellbeing Journal This is a brilliant, totally free app for helping you better understand your moods and emotions with simple and very quick daily check-ins.
I'm a couple of weeks in and am already learning things about myself and seeing patterns emerge.
Thanks to Jez Burrows on Threads for sharing this one. π howwefeel.org
GSAP Animation library GSAP is one for the front-end people who like to sweat the details crafting joyful digital experiences.
GSAP (Greensock Animation Platform) is essentially a library of javascript code to make animation on the front-end much easier and more robust. And it's been around for a loooong time β I remember using it back in the Flash ActionScript days in the early noughts.
And the reason I'm posting it here, beyond giving it a push? Well it has finally had a beautiful rebrand and new site, better organising the offering. Wonderful stuff. π gsap.com

Creative Spotlight |
Ksawery Kirklewski Digital / Installation Artist I was first made aware of the wonderful work of Ksawery Kirklewski via his collaboration with Max Cooper on the musician's track, Symphony in Acid.
Kirklewski's projects focus mostly on the digital and generative art field and are phenomenally intricate, often making use of thousands of LEDs powered by creative code and users' interactions.
There's so much amazing work to get lost in on his website. I really recommend having a nose when you have some time. π ksawerykomputery.pl
